Sterlitech Polypropylene Nominal Prefilter, 0.45 Micron, 25mm - 47mm

Nominal-rated polypropylene prefilters are constructed from 100% meltblown polypropylene fibres and provide efficient prefiltration of liquids before final membrane filtration. They are ideal for the clarification of aqueous solutions, acids, bases, and compatible solvents across a broad pH range.

Gradient Density for Reliable Throughput and Dirt Retention

These filters use a multilayer calendered structure that creates a gradient in density, helping to capture a wider range of particle sizes while resisting surface blinding. Their high dirt holding capacity ensures consistent flow during extended use. Polypropylene prefilters are also thermally stable and incineration-safe, making them a practical and clean option for routine laboratory and industrial prefiltration workflows.

Polypropylene membrane filters and prefilters can be safely disposed of by incineration. Unlike PTFE and PVDF filters, the polypropylene filters will not release harmful fluorine compounds.
