What is Sulphuric Acid? Sulphuric Acid (chemical formula H₂SO₄), often referred to as oil of vitriol, vitriolic acid, (or alternate spelling sulfuric acid), is a highly corrosive strong acid composed of sulphur, oxygen, and hydrogen.
