Buffered Formalin Concentrate

A 5 x concentrated solution of buffered Formalin. 

When diluted it is the most commonly used general purpose routine fixative for tissue specimens.

This solution is hypotonic in buffer ions and has a pH of 6.8, and tends to reduce the formation of formalin pigment.
