Meet Joseph - Distribution & Export

Joseph brings a strong background in warehousing, stock control and export, with previous experience managing order processing and preparing shipments for international delivery.

With experience leading a team, he developed strong organisational and leadership skills, overseeing workloads and carrying out quality checks to ensure work was completed accurately.

Can you tell us about your role at Atom Scientific?

“I trained in picking and packing before progressing to large corporate and NHS orders, including hazardous goods pallets. I also trained in Goods In and Export, where I pick items for dispatch and complete dangerous goods declarations. Orders can range from one to 26 pallets, with the largest I have worked on involving 60 pallets. I am IATA & IMDG Certified in Dangerous Goods. I am also the team’s deputy leader, taking over and providing cover when our Team Leader is away, while supporting the team and ensuring everything runs smoothly.”

What’s something you’re most proud of since working here?

“I’m most proud of my professional and personal development, particularly building my interpersonal skills and becoming more confident leading the team. I’m also proud of achieving 100% in my IATA exam, which was a great achievement.”

What made you want to join the Atom team?

“When I first applied, I was looking for something new and a fresh opportunity. As soon as I joined, I found the team to be really welcoming, with a great atmosphere and good people to work with. I enjoy coming in, having a laugh and being part of the team. I’ve also really valued the opportunities I’ve been given to gain new qualifications and experience. If you want to develop and progress, the opportunities are there, which is something I really appreciate about working here.”

Tell us a fun fact about you

“I’m a DJ and music producer, and I’ve had the opportunity to play sets across the country. Last year, I also had the opportunity to play at my first festival.”
