Sterlitech's black, PVP-free polycarbonate track-etched (PCTE) membrane filters are engineered for high-contrast optical and fluorescence microscopy. Pigmented with a proprietary black dye, these hydrophobic membranes significantly reduce autofluorescence, making them ideal for applications involving fluorescent markers. The dark background also enhances contrast during optical microscopy, aiding in the detection and enumeration of light-coloured particles, animal cells, and microorganisms.
