Nylon Membrane Filters, 1.2 Micron, 13mm - 293mm

Sterlitech nylon membrane filters are engineered for precision filtration in critical lab and industrial workflows. Offering excellent chemical compatibility, high mechanical strength, and strong protein binding, they are ideal for demanding applications such as HPLC, sterilisation, and diagnostic testing. These hydrophilic membranes provide reliable, clean results across a wide range of pore sizes and diameters.

Super-strong, hydrophilic nylon membrane filters are supported by inert polyester and provide high protein binding, solvent resistance, and dimensional stability for HPLC sample preparation, biological/buffer sterilisation, medical assays, and high temperatures.

Key Features

  • Superior strength for easy handling
  • Lot-to-lot consistency provides reproducible results every time
  • Passes USP Class VI toxicity testing
  • High nucleic acid binding capacity
  • Low extractables ensure clean results
  • Compliant for food contact under the applicable regulations in 21CFR177

Performance and Versatility in Demanding Filtration Applications

These versatile nylon membrane filters from Sterlitech are specifically designed to wet out evenly and maintain membrane integrity without cracking, tearing, curling, or breaking. Manufactured using a proprietary process that bonds nylon to a polyester support web, they deliver consistent chemical and physical performance, uniform flow rates, and dependable product quality. Their exceptional strength makes them suitable for rigorous handling and use with automated equipment. In addition to their compatibility with most aqueous and alcoholic solvents, these nylon filters are widely used for vacuum degassing.

Thanks to their naturally hydrophilic properties, no wetting agents are required—making them ideal for sensitive biological applications. The membranes also offer a large surface area for effective immobilisation of antigens, antibodies, DNA, RNA, and other proteins. With a void volume of 70–85%, they support high diffusion and low flow resistance, making them well-suited to a wide range of laboratory and analytical workflows.

Applications

  • General Filtration
  • Medical Assays
  • Food, beverage, and pharmaceutical processing
  • HPLC Sample Preparation
  • Sterilize and clarify aqueous and organic solvent solutions
