What is Hydrogen Peroxide? Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) is the simplest peroxide (a compound with an oxygen-oxygen single bond) and an oxidiser. Hydrogen Peroxide is a clear liquid, slightly more viscous than water. In dilute solution, it appears colourless. With its oxidising properties, Hydrogen Peroxide is often used as a bleach or cleaning agent.
Hydrogen Peroxide is also naturally produced in organisms as a by-product of oxidative metabolism. Nearly all living things (specifically, all obligate and facultative aerobes) possess enzymes known as catalyse peroxidases, which harmlessly and catalytically decompose low concentrations of Hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen.
9% Solution: Our Hydrogen Peroxide 9% is perfect for cleaning, first aid and food preservation.
High-Quality Formulation: We use only carefully sourced Hydrogen Peroxide and blend it with Distilled Water to ensure our customers can safely use it for any application.
No Additives: We prioritise purity, delivering only the highest quality for our customers - you can trust that our product has no preservatives or additives.
Manufactured in the UK: Our Hydrogen Peroxide is manufactured and bottled using non-toxic, chemical resistant bottles, providing reliable and trusted quality to our customers.

What is Hydrogen Peroxide used for?
Chemical Reactions and Synthesis
The oxidising ability of Hydrogen Peroxide is so strong that it is considered a highly reactive oxygen species. Hydrogen Peroxide is therefore used as a propellant in rocketry.
Cleaning and Decontamination
Hydrogen Peroxide can be used to remove organic residues from glassware and instruments. Due to its oxidative properties, it helps break down proteins, lipids, and other organic materials.
Disinfection
Hydrogen Peroxide is commonly used for disinfecting lab glassware, work surfaces, and biological safety cabinets. It effectively kills bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores, making it ideal for keeping a sterile environment.
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Hydrogen Peroxide is used in tissue processing and preparation, Hydrogen Peroxide can bleach tissue sections or reduce background staining in histological samples.
Safety Applications
In emergency situations, Hydrogen Peroxide can neutralise certain chemical spills by breaking down hazardous compounds into less harmful substances.
