This stain kit can be used to demonstrate elastic fibres and copper associated protein (CAP) in tissue sections. Some disease states (e.g. Wilson's disease) see a build up of copper in tissues such as the liver. An excess presence of elastic fibres in the liver may indicate fibrosis or cirrhosis
