What is Sodium Molybdate? It is a white crystalline salt consisting of Sodium and Molybdenum ions, often encountered as the dihydrate with chemical formula Na2MoO4·2H2O
Consistent Quality: We provide only high-quality Sodium Molybdate Dihydrate, ensuring reliable and consistent performance for all applications.
Shipped from Manchester, UK Facility: Sourced and packaged in non-toxic, chemical-resistant containers to ensure safe handling and preserve product quality during transport.
Agriculture
Can be used as a fertiliser and source of molybdenum for soils with mineral deficiencies.
Corrosion Inhibition
Utilised in industry for corrosion inhibition, as it is a non-oxidizing anodic inhibitor. The addition of sodium molybdate significantly reduces the nitrite requirement of fluids inhibited with nitrite-amine, and improves the corrosion protection of carboxylate salt fluids. In industrial water treatment applications where galvanic corrosion is a potential due to bimetallic construction, the application of sodium molybdate is preferred over sodium nitrite.
Dyes and Pigments
Occasionally finds use in the production of some pigments.
