Meet Jo - International Key Export Manager

Joanna brings over 10 years of experience in the haulage sector, having held an Administration and Service Manager role with responsibility for coordinating UK-wide collections and deliveries, route planning, fleet maintenance, and operational efficiency.

Her expertise includes Safety and Risk Management, Logistics Coordination and Classification Documentation. Over the last 13 years with Atom, Joanna has developed strong customer relationships, managing shipping documentation, and contributing to the company’s growth.

Can you tell us about your role at Atom Scientific?

“As an Export Key Account Manager, I am responsible for ensuring safe, compliant and efficient export of hazardous materials to our distribution partners to global destinations. My role includes: Order Processing, Documentation Shipping, Customer Queries, Team Management and I work closely with our Distribution Team and Operations to ensure correct packaging of materials to meet IATA standards. I am IATA Certified in Dangerous Goods”

What’s something you’re most proud of since working here?

“From starting in a part time sales admin position at Atom, I am most proud of building the export customer base and team to the level it is now. Also, being a support system for other departments that interlink with export and the relationship I have built with the team”

What made you want to join the Atom team?

“I was looking for a more challenging opportunity. I enjoy the team that surrounds Atom and have built a good relationship with each and every one of them. At Atom, I feel like I can support and have support when needed from the team. That’s really important to me”
