Atom Scientific would like to introduce our HR Manager who has been a great addition to our team over the past year. Our Marketing Co-Ordinator Amy had a meeting to discuss Steph’s role here with us. Steph is a positive and enthusiastic individual who engages with our team and brings the best out in everyone. She is our number one people person.

My personal mission is to bring out the best in leaders so they can bring out the best in others.
I have over 20 years’ experience in developing and implementing people strategy and supporting organisation in cultural development, people development and all things HR, working in the UK, Europe, Australia and India.
I started supporting Atom in July 2018, initially to help develop the existing culture to support the rapidly growing team and to define the company’s core values.
We involved our team in creating our values, which clearly define how we do things around here.
Our values play an important part in our recruitment, reward, recognition and ongoing development of our people.
They act as a decision making tool so that our people are able to make the right choice.

Everything we do is geared up to achieving this vision and recently we have introduced a weekly KPI system for the distribution, manufacturing and bottling teams. This enables our teams to not only have pride in what they deliver for our customers but to be rewarded for excellence.
My role has developed over time and I am actively involved in both supporting and developing our current team but also in recruiting new Team Members. It is varied, challenging and rewarding, yet there is still plenty more positive work to do as the business grows.
I really love working with the Atom team, the people are great, and I am so pleased that I am able to support the business along their journey.
A bit about me
I am accredited by the British Psychological Society to use the Myers Briggs personality type instrument, Personal Strengths UK to use the Strengths Deployment Inventory and the Centre for applied positive psychology strengths finder. I have a master’s in human resource development, level 7 Diploma in strategic leadership and I am a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. I love learning and keeping myself up to date with new trends and ways of working. I am married to Rob and we have 4 grown up boys, 2 dogs, 3 cats and 5 lovely grandchildren.
