Kovacs Reagent for Indoles
Used for the diagnostical indole test, to determine the ability of the organism to split indole from the amino acid tryptophan.
Amyl Alcohol: 99%
Hazard Phrazes: Flammable liquid and vapour. May be corrosive to metals. Harmful if swallowed. Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye damage. May cause respiratory irritation. May cause drowsiness or dizziness.
Prec Phrazes: Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical advice/attention.
